5th Annual GMIXX '09 Music Retreat

CHICAGO-On the Street Promotions & Marketing officially announces the 2009 Honorary Co-Chairs for the 5^th Annual GMIXX Music Retreat in Chicago. This year the Global Mixx Music Retreat celebrates the theme “Back II Basics”, honoring some of the most influential music and marketing professionals in the business. Festivities kick-off Friday, October 2^nd through Sunday, October 4^th, 2009 with a series of resourceful and empowering event which range from exclusive artist showcases, DJ listening sessions, music seminars and a host of events at various Chicago nightlife venues.  This year’s host hotel, the historical Blackstone Renaissance Hotel will paint the canvas for on-site registration, high powered panel discussions, workshops and luncheon for the second year in a row.

Over the past four years, Global Mixx has had some of the most prominent industry tastemakers participating in its yearly conference, including Grammy-award winning producer/artist, Kanye West, Common (Grammy-award , DJ Kool Red Alert (Legendary DJ/WBLS NYC), Ludicris (DTP/Def Jam Recording Artist/Actor), Bryan Michael Cox (SESAC Songwriter of the Year), Chris Lighty (Violator Ent./50 Cent), Kelly Griffin (Music Director-BET Networks), DJ S-N-S (P-Diddy’s DJ), and Serch (Rapper/VH1), just to name a notable few.
